Tourism Management Programme

Programme Overview

Our tourism management programmes are designed for students who want to plan, manage, develop, process and advise on local and international tourism arrangements. This programme consists of a range of UK-registered qualifications from the Foundation Level 3 right up to the Pro-Graduate Level 6. The Level 6 Pro-Graduate Programme is the ultimate undergraduate level award and has been expressly designed to provide equivalent learning to that provided by a British university bachelor’s degree programme in hospitality. You will receive a qualification at the end of each level of the programme suitable for immediate employment upon the successful completion of that level. You may continue with your studies to the next diploma level in the programme or alternatively apply for further degree studies at various international universities.

The Level 3 Foundation Programme is perfect for you if you want to enter the industry within 12 months in one of the various entry level positions and work your way up through the ranks. The Level 4 Undergraduate Programme is for you if you want to be employed or operate your own enterprise as an international travel consultant, travel information officer, tour operator, tour guide, travel agent or travel reservations agent. These are currently listed as occupations in high demand in South Africa. The Level 5 Advanced Programme allows for further career progression opportunities such as travel agency manager, tour operations manager, sales manager, and many more. These highly reputable, professional programmes, awarded by the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH), are recognised by top global institutions such as Star Alliance, Fastjet, Adair International, Virgin Atlantic, Tsogo Sun, Hilton, Radisson Edwardian and Thistle hotels, the Dhaka Sheraton and many more.
